Andrew Z. Tapp, Esquire
Born into a family of entrepreneurs and small business owners, Andrew Tapp grew up in the Tampa area with a family that knew what sacrifices were necessary for success, and that hard work could not be substituted. The last four generations of Tapps have started and operated companies from the ground up through good times and bad – and the lessons learned from those experiences became family heritage. Mr. Tapp, who focused his law school studies in the areas of business and litigation, founded Metropolis Business Law Group to both carry on that tradition, and to help other small and medium sized businesses protect their rights and future.
Andrew has been practicing as a commercial litigation attorney and divorce lawyer in Tampa Bay since 2009. Mr. Tapp attended Florida State University where he graduated cum laude with his Bachelor of Arts in English: Writing and History. He received his Juris Doctorate from Stetson University College of Law in 2009.
Mr. Tapp practices business law, civil litigation, commercial litigation, contract review and drafting, appellate law, family law, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Propgram (SNAP) regulatory law, and commercial transactions. He also has experience in adoption, criminal law, business formation and international business transactions.
During law school, Mr. Tapp worked for a prestigious South Tampa law firm while focusing his studies on trial advocacy, business law, and international law. While attending Florida State University, he worked for the Governor of the State of Florida in both the Executive Office and the General Counsel’s Office. Prior to that, he worked as a legislative intern in the Florida House of Representatives.
Mr. Tapp is available to represent clients in Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco, Polk, Sarasota, Orange, Seminole and Manatee counties at the state and federal trial and appellate levels and offers free consultations for any type of case.
